Professional videos are executed

When making a professional video, you have to keep a lot in mind as there is a lot of multi-tasking happening especially on the filming day. The night before, have an idea on how you want your video to look like, try brainstorming different concepts and see different perspectives on how you would be doing it. Search up different videos you like seeing and watch how they would be angling the camera and how they would be talking towards it. You would have to choose a setting as well as the concept of the video of course. Questions like who will be in the video? how long will the video be? how will you start it? how will you end it? should be thought beforehand as you won’t have time to think of these on the day and it will be too busy. Do have some kind of script that people can go to, so if they are stuck they can just go back to it.  Just try to be as prepared as possible!

Once you have an idea in mind, all you gotta do is make it a reality! When arriving at the set, do be organised as things can get messy pretty fast. Have all your equipment in a spot where it is easy to get if needed and do arrange the setup you want before everyone arrives You can use tape and stick it on the floor where you want a specific object like a chair, camera etc to stay for the duration of the video. Think about the different positions and angles you would want your camera to be facing. Once everyone arrives, giving them a brief on what is happening, is important! You need to tell your ideas on how you are planning on doing the video but of course, always listen to their opinions and ideas that they are willing to give as they do have a different perspective and mindset that could be very helpful. As everyone is set up, do a little run through where everyone can sit or stand ect and see how to angle the camera while everyone is in their position. Test the speakers and microphones if any are used. Test everyone's voice to see how loud or quiet they should or how far or close they should be when filming.

When the filming is taking place, it is important that everyone in the background is extremely quiet as everything can be heard through the microphones and you wouldn’t want to interfere with what is in making.

Finally, when the filming has finished, tidy all the equipment and leave the room as you have found it. Also, don’t forget to give yourself and the rest a clap as a lot of work has gone into making it so you do deserve it!!
