Plan an event

When planning an event you have to prepare in about 2-3 weeks advance or even a month so your guests can either clear their schedules (if they can) or put it in their calendars, so the most important thing you can do is contact your guests and advertise the event you will be holding. Make sure the event is in a well-known place so it makes it easier for your guests to access. When the event starts aware every one of the fire exists for everyone’s safety, also greeting people at the door is very polite.

Make sure the place where your going to hold the event is the right size and has the right capacity because you don’t want your guests squashed into a tiny space because people will won’t be impressed and feel very uncomfortable.

Budgeting is also a big issue you need to be concerned about because depending how many people are going to show up and how long your expecting them to be there your going to need chairs, food(sandwiches, biscuits, cake etc.), drinks(tea.coffee etc), music, decorations and a ramp for wheelchair access.

How to raise money?

You can raise money by fundraising.

•Bake sale- You and your class can plan to all bake, having loads of different treats and lots of different choice. Then sell them for reasonable prices in order to fundraise.

•Events- By hosting events you could have a bucket to collect any funds people are willing to donate towards your project.

•Bag Packing- Another use for these buckets is if you bag pack at your local supermarket, people are always offering to donate. The more of you participating, the more money you will earn.

•Raffle- Organising a raffle and selling tickets for prizes is an easy way to quickly fundraise lots of money and people are always interested.

•Sponsorship- You can organise a sponsored walk, run or some action you can all take and ask for sponsorships in order to raise money.
